Do not know if you seen the movie Love Actually, one quote I really enjoyed is actually said in the 1st minute of the movie.

Quote "Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think of the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere.

Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the twin towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love.

And if you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion that love actually is all around."

In tough times like this, in the world today, I believe love is the only way we can all make it through.

Today I was in my car going to work, when there was a song on the radio that struck me, was not for the music, but for the lyrics, which the more i thought about them the more they stuck me. Guess it does not effect everyone like it did to me, but read it and see.

Banderas - This is Your Life

Where is the purpose in your life
Where is the truth, do you remember your hopes, your dreams
They are no longer your own
This day is for living your own life
Donґt let this world capture your heart
Your passion lost to a thousand themes
Surrendered to the screen

This is not a story, this is not a book
This is your life
And this is not a play, some TV show youґve seen
This is real life, you know that
This is your, this is your life, hey hey hey
This is your, this is your life

You act like a child playing games now
Play and pretend, art of disguise
Alone and lost in all your lies

This is not a story, this is not a book
This is your life
And this is not a play, some TV show youґve seen
This is real life, you know that
This is your, this is your life, hey hey hey hey
This is real, this is real life

There is no rehearsal, no second chance
No false start, no better (no) circumstance, oh
Oh oh-oh-oh, oh

This is not a story, this is not a book
This is your life
And this is not a play, some TV show youґve seen
This is real life, you know that
This is your, this is your life, hey hey hey hey
This is real, this is your life
Oh, this is your life (this is your) life (this is) your life
Hey, this is your life, this is your life
Hey, this is your life, yeah, hey, this is your life
Ooh, this is your life (this is your life), this is your life

The end.

Just do not imagine me singing it to you or you be scared for life 8-P

Today while talking to a friend he said the famous phrase "eh if I did not do that choice back then, if only I could change that". Dwelling in the past mistakes is never gonna help, we all know that, but yet everyone does it.

We cannot change the past. Learn from it and move on.

Nothing new, wise words, but how really can we do that. We still live with the burden of some of the bad choices we did in our lives. But then I came to think of the following. When we were in the moment to make the choice we sure took what at that point in time seemed the better thing to do. Even if in some cases it is was choosing from the better of two evils, everyone in a sane mind would choose the lesser evil.

How it turned out to become a bad choice after that is not something that we could see when we took the decision. You can foresee consequences of certain actions, yes. But we cannot control things that are basically out of our reach.

Lets say you are driving in the fast lane, road is slippery and you decide to move into the slow lane and take it easy in order to be safe. We made the choice, which in our idea was the best at the time.

The car driving in the fast lane 10-15 meters in front of you loses control and comes in your slow lane in front of your car. Bam, car accident. The other cars that were behind you when you were in the fast lane pass by unscratched.

Was that a bad choice? As it turned out in the end, one would say yes. But when we made the choice, it was the best one we could take.

"Eh if I did not do that choice back then, if only I could change that".

Given that I would have had the ability to go back and choose to stay in same lane, what would have happened? The fact is, who knows. Maybe nothing, the car in front would not skid, maybe I would have skidded, and maybe I would have caused a bigger accident and even a more serious one, involving more cars and people.

We made the choice, it is done, we cannot go back to the start, no use dwelling and contemplating the what ifs and what if not's.

Just remember: "Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." Carl Bard

A brand new ending? True, the right one? We can only hope so.

Just came across a Buddha quote, which I find very true.

"Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world."

Words, the even slight misunderstanding or the misinterpretation of them can make someone either happy or sad, can throw our mood in exuberant joy or in incredible despair.

Its not only important to be sure that we say the right words at times, but most of the times you have to also make sure that the meaning of these words is being understood. The hardest part is being able to express the emotion of the words from written text. You hear a voice, you sense the mood, the tonality even the corresponding body language when you are face to face. Written text cannot display all that. So think about it next time you are having a chat on online chat, sending a simple email or sms.

Even when choosing the right words to obtain the correct meaning, better be certain that the message came across as you originally meant it, cause as Buddha said, "they can change our world", and lets hope for best.

Really simple things can make the mind wonder. Today at work one of the lifts was not working properly and it got stuck between floors. The repair man came in, and I was curious enough to stay with him and notice his work. He was not really a talkative guy, actually he did not talk at all.

I was amazed at how simple these things are, and how actually safe these things are, system of pulleys and some basic mechanics and you have todays lifts, with measures and counter measures of safety. As you well may imagine I was like a little kid, looking in awe to something new. Had never seen the actual mechanics involved in lifts. I can understand noone likes to get stuck in a lift, and I know its a nightmare with those with fear of closed spaces, but after today I can really wipe those images of lifts falling down paranoia derived from movies...

Simple things that make you think. Now if only all fears were that easy to put aside... hehe

I am still getting acquainted to this new thing for me. I am liking the concept, still working on how to get people to actually see my site, but that is something to work on, probably think on that later.

Later.... is anyone ever sure of their own later? or even the later of the person they are saying later to?

Till then think about this quote : "You probably wouldn't worry about what people think of you if you could know how seldom they do. " - Olin Miller

One last thing, Thanks for the person who started this blogging adventure, you know who you are, thank you very much, appreciated.

Just thinking about this blogger thing, and making a bet with myself how long I will keep updating this. So basically I will lose with myself and win with myself at same time, confusion, yeah, being normal is not an option. Why? define what is normal to you, then, might not be so normal to everyone else, see?
